So here's the sneak peak from yesterday all finished up! I had seen SO many Christmas countdown calendars popping up online and really wanted to make one but was quickly running out of time. I had seen this amazing idea but didn't have the time to do it so I used the template for the stocking and made up my own little wall quilt.
I arranged the stockings in the shape of a tree and added a cuff to the top of each stocking to centralize the small print on the stockings. Next year I will embroider the 25 numbers on the cuffs. The calendar is for my 3 year old who doesn't understand counting down to Christmas anywho, especially since it was filled almost instantly with these guys...
The Hello Kitty at the very top of the tree was made out of the 'Hello Kitty fabric' that I used for the stockings. She's a 'flat cat' and is meant to be moved to each stocking as the days of December progress.
My daughter has a thing for cats, bunnies, foxes and hamsters, in case you can't tell, ha! =)
