Draft stopper for my Grandmom =) Inspired by this
tutorial.

Ok, so I
might be obsessed with Anna Maria Horner's Garden Party line, maybe ;) This mini quilt started off as a pillow front from this awesome
tutorial. I
maybe ordered several more yards of Garden Party last night after completing this, which I can share with you all cause Hubby doesn't read this blog, lol.

After cutting the circles and putting them on my background square with 'SteamASeam2' I decided to hand quilt the edges of each with Perle Cotton in different colors.

I added hand quilting to the sashing with more Perle Cotton. I'm
very new to hand-quilting and think I might be a bit too picky to do an entire quilt as I kept my sewing gauge constantly on hand to make sure my lines were all equidistant apart, lol.

I'm in the middle of painting a few dozen frames white that were formerly brown or black. This one is an attempt to add fabric, not sure yet on the choice...the pic is my sister tying my shoe when we were toddlers. =)

I found some Pyrex! I read so many blogs that show everyone's thrifty finds and am always amazed. Specifically
In Color Order, Jeni's blog is filled with dozens of inspirational projects and awesome Pyrex and vintage sheet finds. She has a whole Pyrex series of posts and thankfully I went back to read the 'care' section, cause I almost put my new-to-me Pyrex in the dishwasher, disaster averted =) I've been to my share of flea markets and such but have a tendency to gravitate to the furniture, lol. So this past weekend my awesome thrifting friend Jess took me thrifting (after some gentle nudging ;) most of the day Saturday and I actually found some amazing things! A letter press drawer, wooden dollhouse and dresser where also part of my lovely loot...I'll post those next time =)
nudging? you don't need to nudge me. i'm always up for shopping on the cheap. :)
